I Can’t See the Stars

I can’t see the stars tonight
My mind is much to crowded to see the light
My soul aches within its core
I feel so shattered but I still ignore
To press on is to hide my fear
As the loneliness follows me every year
I grow tired of being alone
But when I look to the stars nobody’s home

I try to search for the daylight
So it can shine its light on me
My heart’s broken
But it still beats

The sun keeps the surface warm
I smile and it keeps people uninformed
